I've thought about doing some commissions for a while. Might be a fun way to make some money, but of course I have some rules.
- As you can see from my gallery, I usually render something pretty realistically. I am going to probably do your work in black ink on a sheet of 11x14 Bristol and then scan it for coloring in Photoshop. Think comic-book type art. Want something photo-realistic? Maybe I can do it, but it will cost extra. And I might not even do it. Photo-realistic pieces take a LOT of my free time (the Megan Fox Copic marker piece took me almost 3 months to complete). So expect a comic-book style piece, more along the lines of .
- I am open to many things, but I have the right to turn down a subject for no reason (and I probably have a reason). There are some things I won't do, and I'm not going to change that. If you want an explanation, I might give you one, but I probable won't change my mind. I just might not have the time. I have a full-time job and my time is limited If I do reject the commission, it's not personal.
- NO NUDITY/PORN. There's plenty of that already out there. And I won't add to it.
- Delivery: You will receive a 300 dpi TIFF file. Want the original? Contact me. We'll see how we can arrange shipping.
- Pricing: $25 for inks, $35 for a colored version. These rates may vary, depending on the project. If it's simple, maybe less. If it's super complex, probably more. I will tell you what I expect it will be BEFORE I begin, but if the project changes midstream (something that I'm later told to add to it), the final price MAY be changed to reflect the new complexity.
- Payment: Once we've agreed on the final piece, I'll need $10 to get started. Once I feel the piece is near completion, I'll send you a LO RES proof version. If it's not satisfactory, then we can work out any kinks before final payment is due. Once it's satisfactory, I'll polish 'er up and send over the HIGH RES final. That's when remaining moneys are due. If it's a colored final piece, I'll probably send over the inks first, and then you can pay me for those. This way, if for some reason I am unable to complete the colors, you won't have to be refunded.
- What if we can't come to a resolution? Then I'll probably refund MOST of your original $10. I might keep about $5, to cover PayPal fees and my loss of time. Oh, and you better delete that lo-res proof I sent you.
- I may or may not post the final work online, at places like devaintArt.com.
- I may or may not uses this again as a portfolio piece.
Some FAQs
Q: Will you render my Original Character (OC)?
A: Maybe. Depends on what you can give me about it. I'll keep that piece of art of the character; in other words, It's your character, but the art of it is still mine. You can reuse my art, but here are my rules. Credit me for the render. You can put it where ever, as long as you put me in some sort of byline/credit. Also, if you're published somehow, let me know; I like knowing where I'm being seen Also, it might mean a free plug for you when I say, "Hey guys, check out my art, this rendering I did of person x's (your) OC!" If you want to reuse the art in some way, let me know. I know it's your character, so I don't want to be greedy and I won't be, as long as you use it FAIRLY. Also, I may choose NOT to design it. See above. Basic policy: if you're going to be greedy with art I have made, make the render yourself. That simple. On that note, I might request some photo references, descriptions, etc. to make the piece, because I want to make sure it matches what you have in mind. I probably won't be spot on, but I'd like to get as close as possible for you
Q: Will you do Character X from this Manga, episode of Dr. Who/Galactica/Star Wars etc. ?
A: Depends. I find that there's a lot of things I know very little about, and I'm not going to allow myself be nerd-hurt/trolled if you get obsessive about the details (e.g. "OMG THE 10TH DOCTORS NOSE IS NOT THAT BIG!!!!"). I have nothing against fanboys/fangirls, I'm one of 'em. But I'm not a fan of everything and some random detail might escape my observation. Hey, it is what it is. I can give you an awesome drawing. So what if the hero's sash only has 6 instead of 7 creases? Oh wait, you care THAT much? Maybe pass me by; I can make great stuff, but only if you give me some space to work If I don't know the character and/or the request gets too detailed, I might pass on it.
Q: It will be awesome if I could see Character X do something XXX with Character Y. Like, for instance, Erin E-Surance making out with Black Widow. Can do?
A: Umm… no? It's called Rule 34. And I will not contribute to it.
Q: Gee whiz, that payment schedule thing is confusing! What does it mean?
A: Well, we agree on a project. Then you send me $10 and I get started. When I'm nearly done, I'll send you a low-quality proof. When it's right, I'll send the final and you send me $15. If you want colors, I'll color it, send the colors, and you send $10 more. That makes ink versions only $25 total and color versions $35 total. Basically, I need money down. And I'll send you what you ordered before you pay more
Q: How soon will it be done?
A: Oooooh! That is a great question! Great art takes a while, and I cannot guarantee that your piece will be done in X amount of time. No one can make guarantees. However, if you feel like it's taking too long to get your piece and you think I have maybe taken your $10 to Bermuda, you have several options. I can send you progress in the form of a lo-res image so you can see that I am still hard at work. I can explain if there is a delay. Maybe you're still not satisfied. In that case, I'll try to refund as much of your money as possible, but it won't be $10. Sorry, but PayPal charges user's fees, and those are gone. I never saw your $10, what I saw was more like $9.70 or so. Also, I might withhold some for time and expenses. That ink doesn't go back into the bottle ya know

Inking - Google Hangout
I'm hoping to do a Google hangout at my YouTube channel, newfreshreview, where I'll be inking a page from David Yardin's DeviantArt page, in and among his samples. I'll start the hangout sometime between 8:00 and 11:00 am EDT on April 4.
The "trailer" for the hangout is
New Project ~ Alice in Zombieland
Hey guys, I'm sure you've seen some pencil and inked pages, and even a tattoo design as of late. These things are all working towards my new web comic, "Alice in Zombieland", which you can also see/like on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/aliceinzombielandcomic .
So, where did a project like “Alice in Zombieland” come from? It’s actually not an idea I have been working on for very long, and I have 3 other major stories I want to tell as well (and all of these stories have been in progress for a lot longer). So why this project, and why right now?
Well, it all begins with a post from DeviantArt user `DeevElliott (https://www.deviantart.com/deevelliott) ( h
Long time since I have said thank you
In fact, I've been tweeting progress at twitter.com/enosthecomposer ... I am behind on thank-yous for 8 months!
Everyone is getting a UNIQUE comment. Each thank you is typed by me and is not copy/pasted. I love taking the time to thank you personally. It's the least I can do to say thank you for paying attention to my work.
HeroesCon 2013
Just got back from HeroesCon in Charlotte... And I thought I would not be the stammering, nervous fanboy!
Totally lost words in front of ~AdamHughes (https://www.deviantart.com/adamhughes) but once I gained control I had a quick chat, and a nice sketch, from the man. He was kind, as always.
Ran into :iconmarciotakara: as well... Got a signed copy of :thumb300438091: . It was between that and :thumb278741307: . It was a hard choice but Diana won out!
Also got to meet :iconJonathanGlapion:, hot on the heels of winning the Inkwell award for most versatile inker. If you have seen his YouTube videos, or have been lucky to see his work in person, you'd know why: the man is a man
